Our Environmental Friendly Commitment

CardCycle.com is committed to a green environment, 80-85 % of our card selection is earth friendly. We take a strong interest in providing our customers with quality green cards.

Before purchasing inventory, we contact each greeting card manufacturer to learn about their use of earth friendly paper, or practices, in producing their greeting cards. Our partner manufacturers provide us with information about their environmentally friendly practices.

Artists to Watch

These artists use recycled paper and soy based inks.

Brush Dance

Print on 2 types of paper:

Lustro Offset - Crafted from finest smooth white paper and printed with soy-based ink. Created from at least 20% post-consumer waste on recycled paper. Remaining paper comes from certified paper-growth forests.

Feltweave Carrara White - With its characteristic slightly pebbled texture, these special cards are made exclusively from paper that has not been treated with harmful dioxins or bleach. Printed
exclusively with soy based inks.

Calypso

Various lines printed on different paper, all of which take the environment into account:

J&M Martinez - use paper made from EDF pulp (Elemental Chlorine Free). This is Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI) & Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified.

The Art Group - also uses paper from managed forests. 

Selfish Kitty, Kitty's Muse, and Naughty Betty - all printed on paper that contains 10% post-consumer recycled content.

All Lines - with the exception of Art Group, use vegetable based inks and Art Group uses wax based ink.

Carol Wilson Fine Arts, Inc.

All greeting cards and stationary are printed on recycled paper using soy based ink.

Green Field Paper Company

Hemp heritage paper manufactured with 25% hemp and 75% post consumer recycled paper.

Acid free, no chlorine bleach and archival quality.

A mixture of wildflower seeds found in all regions of North America  is embedded in tree free paper and printed on using soy based inks.

Keep them moist and watch them sprout!

Madison Park

All cards are either printed on 30 PCW paper or have special treatment on them.

All new cards going forward will be on recycled paper.

Oatmeal Studios

Printed on recycled paper.

Persimmon Press

Use vegetable based ink and recycled paper when available.

Quotables

Cards printed in USA using certified wind power on acid-free recycled paper,

containing 10% post consumer fiber and soy based inks.

Snafu

Cards printed on recycled paper in USA.

Sunrise Greetings

Produced 100% domestically.

Printed on paper stock from sustainable forests.

Do not use isopropyl alcohol in press room. Reduce Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) by using soy and other vegetable based inks.

This practice allows a decrease in number of press washes necessary for upkeep of  equipment, saving water.

Over 98% of Sunrise cards can be recycled.
